Services

The Sunday service is at 10.15am prior to the Lonmay service at 12 noon.  Most Sundays the use of a Projector and Screen is made to encourage a variety of different types of services. Singing is accompanied by our fine pipe organ.

On the first Sunday of each month a family service is held and this service centres round working with the children during the service.  These are very informal and enjoyable services.

Communion & Special Services

Communion is held twice yearly on the 3rd Sunday of May and November.

Special services take place on Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Harvest Thanksgiving, Armistice, Christmas, Thinking Day and Dedication Service.  Musical evenings are also held as well as Cookery Demonstrations.  All our special services are well supported.  For our 200 years celebrations we held a Celebration service when the Church was full to capacity.

Recently a special service was held to celebrate our Locum Tim Barker’s 50 years of Christian service.  The church was full and we had many speakers at the event.  It was a service enjoyed by all.

During the weekend of 17th to 19th June 2016 the Very Rev John Chalmers Minister of the Church of Scotland. Since 2010, he has served as the Principal Clerk to the General Assembly. In 2014, he was nominated to be the Moderator of the General Assembly for 2014-15.

During the weekend the Very Rev John Chalmers along with his wife spent time with both Crimond and Lonmay Churches.  On the Saturday he had an informal meeting with the Board & Session to discuss the vacancy within the Church.

On the Sunday he took the morning service and during that service he ordained three new Elders to our Church namely Elizabeth Milton, Henry Bisset and Ann Bisset.

On Sunday 10th July 2016 our Locum Tim Barker and Rev Fred Coutts led another special service where Amanda Buchan and Jill Cook were ordained as new Elders of our Church.

We are delighted to welcome all our new Elders and wish them well in their new roles.
